We ask that all members adhere to Exertec's Rules & Etiquette for the enjoyment and safety of all members. Our club membership is a community and we wish to maintain a welcoming and comfortable environment for our members.
General Conduct - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Demonstrate courtesy & politeness at all times.
- Help maintain integrity of the club membership as well as member security by checking in at the front desk every visit.
- Refrain from talking on cell phones in all areas of the club except in the “Cell Zone” located in the lounge area by the front counter.
- Help keep the club clean by putting waste in proper receptacles.
- Demonstrate class by wearing shirts at all times while working out on the floor.
- Supervise their children between ages of 12 and 14 years while the children workout.
- Check all children under 12 years of age into childcare while they workout.
- Return all Exertec towels before leaving the club.
- Show respect for others by not using loud or profane language or other practices that may annoy or interfere with the enjoyment of the club by other members.
- Work together with Exertec employees to maintain a comfortable workout environment for all members.
- Keep pets out of the club facility.
- Refrain from smoking in the club.
- Sign purchase record slips for all house charges. House charge option is available for purchases in the club after completion of proper paperwork and provided the account is current.
Note:
- Exertec is not responsible for accidents on the premises or for loss or theft of personal belongings at the club.
- Club property that is lost or damaged by a member or a guest must be replaced or paid for by the member.
- Membership privileges of a member may be suspended or cancelled at any time for his/her actions and behaviors that are detrimental to other members’ pleasure and enjoyment of the club.
- Any member involved in any illegal activity at the club or who consistently violates club rules will have their membership indefinitely suspended.
- Management reserves the right to amend the rules at any time.

Cardio Zone Etiquette - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Sign in on sign-in board before using treadmills and elliptical machines. The sign-in boards are intended to be waiting lists for members that are waiting to use the machines, and are not for reserving machines for specific times.
- Wipe equipment down when finished.
- Put away reading racks, newspapers, and magazines to its proper place when finished.
- Limit cardio machine use to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
- Refrain from talking on cell phones except in the “Cell Zone” located at the front lounge area. Text communication and listening to music on cell phones are allowed on the exercise floor as long as doing so does not cause disruptions to other members’ workouts, i.e. texting in between sets while occupying the equipment.
- Demonstrate class by wearing shirts at all times while working out on the floor.
- Wear close-toed athletic shoes at all times while working out .

Locker Room Etiquette - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Demonstrate respect for others by cleaning up area after use.
- Turn cell phones and other electronic devices OFF in the locker room due to privacy concerns.
- Keep sink areas clean.
- Put used towels in the red towel collection bin.
- Share bench space with other members.
- Dry off before entering the carpeted area.
- Close and lock lockers after use.
- Return day use locker keys to the front desk before leaving the club.

Pool Area Etiquette - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Shower thoroughly before entering the pool or spa.
- Get permission from other swimmers before sharing their lanes. Lane sharing is encouraged but not required.
- Sign in before using pool lanes. The sign-in board is intended to be a waiting list for members that are waiting to use a pool lane, and is not for reserving lanes for specific times.
- Limit pool lane use to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
- Not run on the pool deck.
- Keep glass articles out of the pool area.
- Not engage in horseplay.
- Not jump or dive into the pool
- Not wear cutoffs.
- Put away all pool equipment when finished.
- Clear the pool area 15 minutes prior to closing time.
- Keep children under the age of 14 out of the spa, steam room, or sauna at all times due to safety concerns.

Steam Room & Sauna Etiquette - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Shower thoroughly before entering the pool or spa after use of steam room and/or sauna.
- Take shoes off before entering the steam room and/or sauna.
- Refrain from manipulating the steam room temperature in any way such as by pouring water on the sensor. Pouring water onto the sensor creates an excessively hot environment that may be dangerous to you and others. This action may be cause for indefinite suspension of your membership.
- Keep combustible objects such as paper out of the sauna.
- Clear the steam room & sauna 15 minutes prior to closing time.
- Keep children under the age of 14 out of the spa, steam room, or sauna at all times due to safety concerns.

Weight Room Etiquette - Exertec Members & Guests are expected to…
- Allow others to work in.
- Return all weights to their proper racks.
- Refrain from talking on cell phones except in the “Cell Zone” located at the front lounge area. Text communication and listening to music on cell phones are allowed on the exercise floor as long as doing so does not cause disruptions to other members’ workouts, i.e. texting in between sets while occupying the equipment.
- Have beverages, including water, only in closed-containers on the floor. The water cooler in the weight room is provided for filling water bottles only.
- Demonstrate class by wearing shirts at all times while working out on the floor.
- Wear close-toed athletic shoes at all times while working out due to safety concerns.

Guest Privileges
- All guests must check in at the front desk by signing a waiver of liability before use of any of the facilities.
- All guests will be asked to show a photo ID at check in.
- A member is expected to accompany his/her guests.
- Members shall familiarize their guests with club rules and will be responsible for their conduct and attire.
- Guests under 18 years of age MUST have a parent physically appear at the front desk to sign the waiver of liability.
